Almaz Architect Sdn. Bhd. passionately believes in incorporating design elements from nature. Our inspiration comes from the history that resounds throughout the Malaysian forests, and the age-old traditions that were passed down from generation to generation. Water and landscape features are actively integrated into the design of the building to allow man to feel connected to the outside.
Years of experience in the industry have pushed us to the forefront of innovative and contemporary developments. We have a constant stream of success in project management pertinent for the client’s strategic frameworks.

The company’s philosophy is always put our clients’ needs and wishes first. We use the latest BIM technology in the field to visualise our clients’ dream buildings and turn it into reality. At AASB, we practice effective cost management to suit the client’s financial plan.
AASB obtained ISO9001:2008 certification on 8 August 2014 and revised to ISO9001:2015 on 20 February 2019.

Ar. Almaz Salma Abdul Rahim
BSc(Hons) Arch, Dip Arch Bartlett (UCL), FPAM, MIID, Asean Architect, RIBA
Ar. Almaz Salma Abdul Rahim, Managing Director of Almaz Architect Sdn Bhd earned her professional Degree from The Bartlett School of Architecture and Planning (UCL) with BSc (Hons) Arch and Dip Arch. She received her multi-faceted professional training with BEP Architect from 1984-1994 as a graduate architect followed by Associateship before establishing her own practice in the year 1994. Throughout her 39 years of experience in the industry, she has been involved in over 250 design works in Malaysia.
Ar. Almaz leads the design process in Almaz Architect Sdn Bhd while engaging her Architects and Designers to create meaningful spaces and inspiring facades while remaining sustainable and responsible. She manages her team with precise scheduling, always targeting to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Ar. Hir Azni Md. Tahir
Dip Arch (ITM), Dip Arch & Urban Design (Oxford Brookes), APAM
As the Executive Director of Almaz Architect Sdn. Bhd., Ar. Hir Azni Md. Tahir bags experiences in the field of Architecture for nearly 30 years after graduating as an Architect and an Urban Planner from Mara Institute of Technology and then Oxford Brookes University in the UK.

Ar. Hir has practised Architecture in small firms as well as big ones including Kumpulan Arkitek and Perunding Alam Bina before commanding the position as a Design and Project Architect in the then sole proprietor practice of Almaz Architect. Ar. Hir was offered the directorship when Almaz Architect progressed to a Sdn Bhd company.
While being involved in the design process, Ar Hir oversees Project and Contract Management from preparation and execution up to Completion and Compliance; streamlining communication and monitoring processes alongside the Architects and Technical Personnel.
D I R E C T O R
Ar. Omar Baharum
BSc (Hons) Arch, PG Dip Arch (UEL) PAM
Ar. Omar Baharum has been practicing since 2012, after graduating from University of East London for both his BSc (Hons) and PG (Dip) in Architecture.
He has experience working at Emoli Petroshka Architects and Squire and Partners in London, before returning to Malaysia to work at Almaz Architects as an architectural assistant, then a Project Architect.
Ar. Omar has recently been offered a directorship in Almaz Architects after passing his Part 3 certification in 2023.
